ABOUT our apartments: The Norton Housing Authority (NHA) office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Applications for housing can be acquired at: 213 Horace Greeley Ave. Norton, Kansas, 67654 or by calling 785-877-2714, or by clicking the Housing Application link. ***NHA has opened up the availability to those OVER the income limits, inquire for rates as they change annually and all OVER-income leases are month-to-month. *** Norton Housing Authority has 38 apartments and the apartment Security Deposit is $250 Eligible applicants (lease signees) must be within the PHA’s Income Limits And must meet the PHA’s requirements: Be at least 18 years old Be a citizen of the United States or have eligible immigration status Pass residential history background check Pass police background check Must not owe any money to any Public Housing Authority All sources of income will be verified Pet Policy-One animal allowed: Adult Lap Dog OR Adult Cat-Request Policy-$250 Pet Deposit (refundable) and $250 Non Refundable Pet Deposit=$500 due at lease signing No Smoking Policy Natural gas, water, sewer, trash pick-up, and electricity paid by NHA Stove and refrigerator furnished Rent based on income Families will pay 30% of adjusted gross income or 10% of unadjusted gross income, whichever is greater, or Flat Rent.
